Following its run at the NT, Dr Seuss's The Cat in The Hat will transfer to the Maria Studio, Young Vic from 28 January to 13 March 2010. You can book tickets for the transfer to the Young Vic on our website.

From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that the cat in the hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met.

With the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with. And he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. But what will mum find when she gets home...?

The National Theatre’s production of The Cat in the Hat is a lively, engaging first theatre experience for 3-6-yearolds.

Based on the much-loved book by Dr. Seuss, this tale will be colourfully adapted for the stage by director Katie Mitchell.
